The Art and Environment Committee invites people with artistic sensibility and/or experience to become part of a committee to oversee the “decorating” of our church building during the different seasons of the year.
This a new sub-committee of the recently re-formed Parish Liturgy Committee, made up of leaders of various liturgical ministries and parishioners- at-large.
The response to participate has been great, and we have an eager and talented group of people to plan how our worship environment can better reflect the seasons and festivals of the Church year.
This group will continue and expand the ministry of the Altar Society. In particular, we owe much thanks to Mary Lou Stack and Marianne Tatasciore, who for many years faithfully did so much of the weekly and seasonal work to add visual grace and dignity to our worship.
It will take time for the new committee to learn and explore, so please be patient, and remember the group is in the process of discerning and building on the heritage of our past. After all, the building is OUR house as the Body of Christ, the Church. There will be many volunteer opportunities. Watch for further information, and join in the fun!
