Reconciliation

Those who approach the sacrament of Penance obtain pardon from God’s mercy for the offense committed against God, and are, at the same time, reconciled with the Church which they have wounded by their sins and which by charity, by example, and by prayer labors for their conversion.
— the Catechism of the Catholic Church

The sacrament of Reconciliation is administered on Fridays before the 12:05 p.m. Mass, and on Saturdays between 4 and 5 p.m. in the Church. If you would like to avail yourself of the sacrament outside these hours, please call the parish office to make an appointment with a priest.

Regular confession can be an important help to deepen your relationship with God. Here is a practical guide by Fr. Tom Welbers, “How to Make the Best Use of Confession.”

Many people experience anxiety about how to go to confession, and feel embarrassed if they “don’t get the words right.”  If this describes you, this simple guide will help you: “How to Go to Confession.”

These guides can also be downloaded in printable PDF format.
