My dear friends, you have come together in this church so that the Lord may seal and strengthen your love in the presence of the Church’s minister and this community. Christ abundantly blesses this love. He has already consecrated you in baptism and now he enriches and strengthens you by a special sacrament so that you may assume the duties of marriage in mutual and lasting fidelity.

Preparing for Your Wedding

Please contact one of our priests or the deacon six months prior to your wedding, if possible.

In order to be married in the Church, some documentation is needed, including a Baptism Certificate issued from the Church of Baptism, as well as a Certificate of Confirmation. These need to be turned in within 6 months of the wedding.

Additionally, a FOCCUS Inventory needs to be completed, followed by one session with a Marriage Counselor. All couples are required to do the Engaged Encounter week-end or one-day seminar on marriage preparation. Details on both will be supplied by the priest or deacon.

We have a booklet on file at the Parish Center with this information and much more. For more information, please contact the Parish Center at (310) 285-5425.
