Welcome to Good Shepherd Catholic Community!

It is our pleasure and privilege to welcome you to Good Shepherd. Our parish serves our local community of Beverly Hills and many of the surrounding communities.

We extend our hands and hearts to you in Christian hospitality, whether you are a long-term area resident, newly arrived, or just in town for the weekend. We are pleased to welcome you to our parish. We are proud of our many parishioners and their involvement in the ministries described on this website. Our parish ministries could not be successful without a tremendous commitment of time, talent and treasure on their part, along with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

History

The Parish of the Good Shepherd was established in 1923. The current church was built in 1924 and dedicated on February 1, 1925. Good Shepherd Catholic School (formerly Beverly Hills Catholic School) on South Linden Drive was opened in September of 1930.

From its humble beginnings in a cozy neighborhood apartment to its current status as a venerable community landmark, the Church of the Good Shepherd has been a fixture in Beverly Hills for 80 years. Dating back to its early ties with the Catholic Motion Picture Guild, it has also served as the parish for many Hollywood stars over the years and today serves people of all walks of life from throughout the city of Los Angeles.
