Wonderful Opportunity For Catholic Non-Eucharistic Liturgy Of Prayer
This Sunday, November 8, we will have Compline (Night Prayer) at 7:30 p.m. in the church. Compline is part of the official daily Prayer of the Church, and the concluding liturgy of the day.
It involves a mix of chant in Latin by a schola (choir) with the assembly chanting in English. This is a contemplative unaccompanied liturgy in which we sing hymns, psalms, and other parts of the liturgy. Compline takes less than 30 minutes. If you are looking for a beautiful, peaceful way to end Sunday and begin your week, come join in this experience!
Young Adults Group
For our next event, please join the Young Adults of Good Shepherd at the beautiful Italian restaurant, Scarpetta, located in the Montage Hotel of Beverly Hills. We will meet on Wednesday, November 11, at 5:45 p.m for Happy Hour. Come enjoy some Catholic Fellowship.

Dear Parish Family,
It is important for all of us to be mindful of our fellow parishioners who are sick and those persons who have died. Each weekend at the Masses, we have mentioned the names of the sick and the deceased.
The list has grown and grown. In order that each and all of us can be aware of these loved ones, care and pray for them and their family, we will list them in the bulletin each week. We encourage you to call the Parish Office early, and submit the names of your loved ones by the deadline for the bulletin on Mondays by 12 Noon. Names received after the deadline will be included in the following week’s bulletin. As of December, we will not be reading their names during the Intercessions, but assembly members are encouraged to speak out the names of their loved ones. We hope and pray, this will help all of us to be a caring, thoughtful parish family, very aware of each other and to reach out to one another.
Catholic Campaing for Human Development
The CCHD national collection is the weekend before Thanksgiving, November 21-22.

Praying For The Sick
Please keep in your prayers all the sick members of our parish community and their loved ones.
Starting on the second Sunday of Advent, December 6, we will no longer mention the names of the sick or the names of the deceased in the Sunday Liturgy intercession prayers. Instead, all the names of the sick will be listed in the weekly bulletin, and we will encourage you to pick up a copy of our weekly bulletin.
