Congratulations Fr. John Palmer on your Ordination to the Priesthood

Our own John Palmer was ordained as a priest by Archbishop José Gomez yesterday, May 31, the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels. The entire event, more than two hours, is on video and can be viewed on your computer here at the Archdiocesan website. Here’s the LA Times article about the ordination, and an article from The Tidings about all four newly ordained priests, including Fr. John.

He celebrated his First Mass of Thanksgiving here at Good Shepherd today at 12:30, followed by a splendid reception in the hall. To listen to an audio recording of this Mass, please click on the players below.

In today’s bulletin, Fr. John has given us a beautiful reflection on the meaning of the Ascension of our Lord for all of us, and its special meaning to him as a newly ordained priest.
