Evening Prayer on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m.
If you’d like to try a new kind of prayer, join us for evening prayer each Wednesday this Lent. We’ll gather at 5:30 p.m., so you can join us on your way home from work for 15-20 minutes. Evening prayer is centered on the psalms, so this is also a good way to become more familiar with these ancient prayers. We have some books for you to use, but if you have your own, please bring it in case we run out of books to distribute.
Thank you so much to all who attended our extremely successful 2nd Annual Mardi Gras party. Special thanks must be given to a few folks, starting with Rina Falcone for her generous contribution which made the event possible. Mardi Gras would not have been what it was without the talent of our esteemed chef and parishioner Alan Traynor who generously donated his time and skills creating our amazing New Orleans-styled dinner. Please show your support by considering him for your next catered event by contacting him at: Alan@crackofdawncatering.com
Once again, dessert was a heavenly treat! Please also show your support to parishioner Lina Kahwaji of C Bon La Crepe Catering, who provided the delicious dessert crêpes for the evening. She may be reached at: email@example.com for all your crêpe needs!
Obviously this event could not have been put together without the support of our numerous, phenomenal committee members, volunteers and additional donors. The list is too long to mention everyone and many of you wished to remain anonymous but you know who you are and you all made this a tremendous event. Here’s looking forward to Good Shepherd’s 3rd Annual Mardi Gras party next year! Until then, have a blessed Lent and a Joyful Easter.
Sincerely, Jonathan Roumie
