Celebrate Your Union at the World Marriage Day Mass 2012
Sunday, February 12, 2012 – 10 a.m. (English) & 12:30 p.m. (Spanish)
World Marriage Day honors husband and wife as head of the family, saluting the beauty of their faithfulness, sacrifice and joy in daily married life. Couples celebrating their 25th, 50th, 60th (or more) Wedding Anniversaries are invited to WMD Mass for a special recognition and blessing by the Celebrant. The World Marriage Day Masses will take place at Our Lady of the Angels Cathedral, 555 Temple St., Los Angeles, CA 90012.

Looking For A Missalette?
You have the opportunity to check the bulletin each week for the scripture readings for the Sunday coming up. This way you can use your Bible for reference. If you wish to use a Missalette, we invite you to pick one up at the Parish Office during the week. Whichever way you choose, this is a wonderful opportunity to prepare for the Mass each weekend.
Where Is Prayer In Your Life?
Have you given any thought to prayer? Why Pray? Prayer keeps us in touch with God just like communicating with our friends.
Take time:
- In the morning over your cup of coffee
- At night, talk over how the day went with God
- Remember prayer before meals
- During the day, make sacred pauses, open your heart to God.
- Pick up your Bible, let God speak to you!
Make a firm resolve to take each day as a gift of surprise. Ask for it. Ask to see, to be surprised and to be astonished. God loves to hear from you and share with you!

Looking for a quiet time with God? Time just to BE? Christian Meditation is held in the Sacred Heart Chapel in the Parish Center on Tuesdays, 7-8 p.m., Thursdays, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. and Saturdays 9-10 a.m. For more information, please visit www.wccm.org You are always welcome.
Get On The Bus Needs Volunteers
On Sunday, February 19th at 2pm in the hall, we are asking all volunteers who want to help “Get on the Bus” to come and be trained for event day and to help sign up families for the June 2nd Event Day.We are asking parishioners to come at 2 and the family applicants to come at 3 to sign paper work necessary to be cleared by the prison. We will need volunteers to help with this process and to also visit those families that could not make it and get the paper work signed and back to me. We will also be training those volunteers to help on event day, June 2nd so you know what to do and can be part of this experience. Many of you have already been touched by these kids who are so excited to see their fathers after not being able to see them for a long time. If we can make it more special for them, then that is what we should do. We are also looking for two licensed counselors that can come on June 2nd as we need a counselor on each bus.
